Are you our new general manager at Hotel Frederikshavn in Tordenskjoldsgade in the center of Frederikshavn?

We are looking for a committed and enterprising person to be responsible for the daily operation and development of Hotel Frederikshavn.

As the daily manager, you will report to the Hotel Director of the sister hotel KOMPAS Hotel in Aalborg. From here you will receive professional and expert advice as well as knowledge and instructions about the strategic development and direction of the hotel.

Hostess, commitment and responsibility are the main headings for this position, which includes both daily contact with guests and financial acumen, with strong support from the resources at the parent organization's head office and from KOMPAS Hotel in Aalborg, which assists with accounting tasks and financial overview.

You must have an interest in being the executive body of the board in a coming period with a focus on consolidation.

Likewise, you are an empathetic leader for a small and flexible team with part-time employees as well as weekend replacements for reception and the like.

Your tasks will include:

  • Manage and direct the hotel's operations.
  • Be the hotel's host and have an eye for giving guests good experiences.
  • Be responsible for compliance with the approved monthly budgets
  • Manage personnel including hiring and firing.
  • Coordinate a good work schedule.
  • Act as the executive function of the board of directors
  • Nurture current and future customer portfolio.
  • Working with the hotel's and the foundation's core values
  • Cooperate naturally and constructively with the Danish seamen's homes and ISM.

The position is full-time and there is the possibility of official accommodation on the top floor of the hotel, where there is an attractively located apartment. However, this is optional.

Hotel Frederikshavn is also the city's Sailors' Home, which is increasingly being operated as a hotel. The hotel is a self-governing foundation.
